Is anyone looking to purchase some Franklin X40 balls? I purchased some last month and still have some left over. They are $2 each. Just let me know (stravis1955(miuku)gmail(piste)com) and I will deliver them to you. Thanks

Geoff

Cameron looks like Saturday is not a good day for outdoor play. do you want to reserve a court?

Summer Schedule at GMCF

Nick

Now that everyone has transitioned to the outdoor courts, GMCF will go into "Summer Mode" where our standing schedule gets wiped clear and indoor games become ad hoc. We simply don't have enough critical mass to warrant dictating when groups should be convening since we only get busy when the weather disrupts outdoor play.

So what does that mean? Well, all the courts are available for reservation all day, every day. So if you do want to organize a game indoors you can reserve a court using the app or the member portal or by calling the front desk. Once you have a court booked you can also publicize the game on our Player Lineup site with proper description (Level, Court Number & Limit of 6 per Court) so that others can see your intention and sign up themselves. If you are in need of more that one court you can provide an additional name of a member to the front desk staff for each additional court you want to book - reservations go up to 2 hours long.

So a couple of scenarios can happen here...

1. Weather looks bad. If you and 11 other people are signed up for play on an outdoor court somewhere and you want to move indoors you can call in and reserve 2 courts for that same time block. Then you can post that game to the GMCF Player Lineup so others can add themselves to the roster if they want to make the shift indoors.

2. You want to still play indoors regardless of the weather. In this case you would use our reservation system to book a court and then invite folks to come play with you. If you are interested in making this a regular game you can book out for several weeks at a time to ensure you have the court space, and whether you choose to post the game to GMCF Player Lineup is up to you and your fellow players. And if you are interested in keeping a standing game all summer just drop me a line and I can set that up so you don't have to keep re-booking.

Note that if your GMCF membership has expired or if you place your membership on hold for the summer you will need to pay the $12 drop-in fee at the front desk when you come for summer play.

With my current knee recovery I am unable to organize and run any events for June, but I hope to be able to get some activities going for July and August, either indoors or out. And we are still hoping to run our Raise the Nets fundraiser again this year in August.

Enjoy the game, embrace the sun and the wind, and when the rain comes we'll see you all inside!
