I, too, wanted to add a shout-out of best wishes to all of you who have recently transitioned to new bionic parts: Kathy T., Sara T. And Nick P! May you all have a swift recovery, and I can't wait to see those new parts of you in action - you'll all be nothing but blurs on the court as you speed about!

Nancy

I think Maggie said it well. Hope you are all healing at the speed of light.

ditto... ditto!

Hey everyone! Since I am recovering and have loads of time on my hands I thought I would let you know of 2 exciting things:

(1) I have ordered Franklin X-40 balls. I was asked by several people if I planned to do this as I have done in the past. What else is a person to do that leave the house but order things on line! They will be arriving the end of this week. They will cost $2.00 each. The catch is that I cannot deliver them to you but I do have some helpful elves that can bring them to the courts. If you want to purchase any please email me at stravis1955(miuku)gmail(piste)com - let me know how many you want and I will try and arrange for a delivery. Please pay in cash only.

(2) I don't know if anyone else heard but Amazon Prime is now contracted to stream PPA Tournaments. And, since I am looking for ways to pass the time while healing, I am planning on watching. The first one is tomorrow. It is the PPA Tour World Championship Series in Atlanta. They will be broadcasting Thursday through Sunday at 10:00 am.

That's the news from me...... Have fun on the courts - I try not to think about what I am missing.

Attention Pickleball Players!
The Vermont Senior Games’ inaugural “Spring Fling” Pickleball tournament in Barre is quickly approaching. Athletes should register by Sunday May 19. The tournament will be played on Saturday May 27 and Sunday May 28 at the Barre Town Recreation Complex. This event is in addition to our usual State Championship tournament, which will be held once again in Colchester and Burlington on August 25 – 27th.
The Spring Fling event winners will NOT be awarded medals, but the Barre area community will provide material prizes.
It is strictly a doubles tournament – the Men’s and Women’s doubles will take place on Saturday May 27th, with the Mixed doubles on Sunday May 28th. We are hoping that this event will provide our athletes with a fun yet competitive opportunity to play an extra pickleball tournament this year.
More details, including how the three player skill levels will be set up, can be found on our website at https://www.vermontseniorgames.org
Register at the above Vermont Senior Games Website. Click Events, Pickleball, Spring Fling Barre to register. VSG are for those over 50 and tournament format is by Age and Level, so a really good opportunity to match up for some fun competition. Here you can also see what other events VSG host that you may have interest in participating in.

Also looking for people to volunteer day of to shag balls, assist tournament directors (Nick Petterson/Karen Didricksen) with directing players to their courts, collection match results etc.. reach out to me if you are interested in that DRouleau23(miuku)Gmail(piste)Com . Also looking for donations to our prize fund – I’ve scored some Cabot cheese, but looking for some more loot

We hope to see you there!

- George Moltz, Vermont Senior Games
