For those who participated in last summer's Raise the Nets fundraiser tournament we wanted to provide an update on where those funds have gone. We raised about $1,100 in August and GMCF has chosen to invest that money in a new semi-permanent net. As interest in our tournaments grows we have made this investment to allow for larger brackets when we run events at GMCF. So this year we will have 6 courts with proper nets for our Mayhem and Madness tournaments. The net system we bought was $3,400 (they aint cheap!) and is the same net used on the APP Tour. We hope that many of you will be able to come enjoy the expanded capacity during the last weekend in January and the last weekend in March.
